The Page Up Manage for Tomorrow Award recognizes Page Up members whose groundbreaking approaches are charting new pathways for their organizations and for the communications profession. Presented annually to one or more individual Page Up members at the Annual Meeting, the award celebrates and rewards new ideas and approaches to evolving communications practices.
The Manage for Tomorrow Award is similar in spirit to the Page Society's Hall of Fame and Distinguished Service Award, presented at the Page Annual Conference. But while those awards showcase a lifetime of achievement and service to the profession, the Manage for Tomorrow Award looks forward — honoring individuals who exemplify the Page Up mission by charting a new course for their organizations and for the communications field.
The Manage for Tomorrow Award honors Page Up members who are shaping what's next for the communications profession. The work described in a nomination should align with the spirit and intent of the Page Principles, with special reference to "Manage for Tomorrow." Ideally, the ideas and approaches recognized should be replicable by other companies and organizations, giving the broader profession a model to build on.
While the application of new technologies — including generative AI — is welcomed, the award is not limited to technology-focused work. Managing for tomorrow is, at its core, a commitment to investment in and care for the future.
In evaluating nominations, the Awards Committee considers questions such as:
What has the nominee learned, and how have they applied that to communications?
How is the nominee bringing the future of our profession into the present — and carrying what we learn from the present into the future?
Nominations come from other Page Up or Page Society members. Self-nominations are allowed and encouraged.
