About the Event

AI is fast becoming a dominant channel for information discovery throughout the world. Most research into AI brand visibility and how it perceives brands and corporations, however, have been conducted in the more developed countries.

There is little research in Asia on how LLMs navigate non-English environments and where news outlets -- the main sources of information that AI Search pulls information from — actively block AI crawlers.

Ong Hock Chuan, Managing Partner at Maverick, will share insights from his firm’s research into the AI visibility of the banking and automative sectors in Indonesia, a pilot project with Indonesia’s largest news organization to address the drop in website traffic caused by AI and a survey of how PR professionals in 12 Asian markets are responding to an increasingly AI-driven communication landscape.

Drawing on lessons from Maverick’s work helping companies navigate this shift, Ong will explore what communicators in Indonesia and the region can learn about treating AI as an emerging stakeholder in reputation and visibility.

Following his remarks, we’ll open the conversation for members to share their own experiences and perspectives from across the region.
