About the Event

Join us for an insightful discussion with Professor Reza Hasmath

Date & Time: Thursday, March 6, 10-11am Beijing | Wednesday, March 5, 9-10pm ET

About the Session

Based on the groundbreaking Chinese Citizens' Global Perception Survey (CCGPS), this conversation will explore how ordinary Chinese citizens view their country's place in the world and its relationships with major global actors including the US, Russia, EU, and others.

Professor Hasmath will share fascinating findings that challenge conventional understandings of Chinese public opinion, including:

  • How Chinese citizens rank global powers in terms of influence and trustworthiness
  • Their views on Taiwan reunification and global conflicts
  • The complex relationship between knowledge of foreign countries and trust
  • Where Chinese citizens get their information about the world
