Christine Duffy is the president of Carnival Cruise Line, the world’s largest cruise operator.  Five years ago, she created the first-ever Chief Communications Officer role at Carnival. In this session,  Carnival’s CCO Chris Chiames and Christine Duffy will share how they partnered to lead the company through the most challenging period in its history. During a 16-month pause in operations, Carnival canceled nearly 3,000 sailings, which impacted nearly 2 million bookings, and emerged as the first U.S. cruise line to get its entire fleet back to guest operations. Understanding Christine and Chris’ highly successful partnership, including how they work together on company priorities such as culture, values, compliance, and DEI, will provide insights into working with your own executives to forge business purpose and impact organizational and societal value.

Emerging from the most disruptive crisis in aviation history, United launched a new, first-in-a-decade national brand advertising campaign in May 2021 highlighting its recent industry-leading actions relating to customer service, diversity, and sustainability. The airline’s commitment to being a ‘force for good’ is underscored by historic investments to fight climate change, train more women and people of color to become pilots, get rid of change fees, and expand its fleet with 500 new planes loaded with customer-friendly features. This differentiated campaign was also linked to an employee communications strategy – in fact, the creative featured 60 employees with a starring role – to deliver a message that inspires pride and loyalty in customers and employees alike. CCO Josh Earnest and COO Toby Enqvist will share strategies used in this unique end-to-end integration of communications and brand strategy that is sure to spark ideas about leveraging your organization's brand.

Our policy is to refund 50% of the conference fee if canceled 31 days in advance of the scheduled start of the event (by Friday, August 19, 2022). There will be no refunds, in whole or in part, for cancellations received within 30 days of the event (on or after Saturday, August 20, 2022). Registration fees are non-transferable. Cancellations for COVID-19-related reasons will be eligible for full refunds. All other cancellations will follow our standard cancellation policy.

As an attendee at the 2022 Page Annual Conference, you will:

Provide proof that you are fully vaccinated by uploading proof of your vaccination during the registration process or emailing it to safety@page.org prior to September 18. “Fully vaccinated,” for purposes of this event will follow CDC guidelines. Currently, this means that you received your single-dose or completed the second dose of a two-dose series of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to September 18. Boosters are strongly recommended if it has been five months or more since you received your second dose in a two-dose series, such as Pfizer or Moderna. If you received a single-dose vaccination, such as with Johnson & Johnson, boosters are strongly recommended if it has been two months since you received your vaccine. Vaccines administered outside the United States may include AstraZeneca/SK Bioscience, Serum Institute of India/COVISHIELD and Vaxzevria, Sinopharm, or Sinovac.
