We frequently talk about the power of the microphone. But in today’s digital world, with easy access to information and the ability to reach broad audiences loudly and instantly, everyone holds a microphone. This new normal breeds conflict, demands transparency, and means emotional appeal, rather than fact, often drives influence.
As communicators, how do we navigate this irrational world? The easy answer is through science, using data and behavioral insights to drive decision making. But audiences today are beyond prediction, and even the most benign topics now seem contentious. It begs a question: In a world where once concrete ideals like transparency and fairness are increasingly relative and even facts are up for debate, how do we successfully counsel, influence and inform?
We hope to see you in October!
