About the Event

The EU’s Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) was approved on July 25 and its implications for global businesses are far-reaching. This is a complicated set of developments but here are some of the key reasons you may want to learn more.

The Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive:

  • Sets globally applicable and binding standards for environmental AND human rights – setting the “floor” for all large companies who want to keep selling in the EU
  • Covers full value chain, not just direct operations
  • Removes the “we didn’t know” excuse
  • Sets substantial financial penalties for getting it wrong – no less than 5% of net global turnover
  • Will require a cross-company response, from legal to finance to procurement to Comms/Sustainability/Corporate Responsibility

Join us for a Page Conversation on Tuesday, October 29 at 1 p.m. ET as we delve into the complexities of these regulatory developments with Perry Yeatman, Head of Corporate at Save the Children. She'll share valuable insights into what’s happened thus far and what to expect next regarding this evolving landscape, from stakeholder engagement requirements to mandatory reporting to preventative action. Connect with peers in a candid and confidential setting to get guidance on both mitigating the risks and seizing the opportunities of these far-reaching developments.

If you’re not able to attend, you can still register to receive a recording of the session.
